St Lucia Wilds Apartments Units and Flatlets

The town St Luciais uniquely surrounded by a World Heritage Site, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, an ideal base to experience our unspoilt natural heritagein one of the oldest, most diverse reserves in the world. Watch the sun riseover the sea and set over the lake in one day. An eco- tourist paradise.

We are located in the main street away from the busytown centre, still within walking distance to shops etc. Units are set in anatural “wild” tranquil garden on the banks of the Estuary.  All units have access to the lake via acommunal path through the premises. Units have no view of the lake. You canenjoy the front garden view of the Estuary, relax on a lounger chair under thetrees or cool down in the swimming pool. We are a Birder Friendly Establishmentwith own garden list. We provide information with maps of this area. Onpremises is a fish cleaning zinc. The garden is visited by Vervet monkeys,Banded mongoose, Red duiker, Bushbuck, tree squirrels, many birds and sometimesthe hippos at night.

We offer holiday accommodation, with owner familyliving on property. Units are standard, comfortable, no-nonsense, very wellequipped, clean and neat. We have 3 joined apartment units and 2 affordable(budget type) flatlet units.

Parking is on premises, 1 bay per unit at carportundercover. Units are service once daily.

All units are equipped as follows:

· Beds withbedding and bath towels

· Cutlery,crockery, pot & pans and cooking utensils

· Stove (withoven), microwave, Fridge, Toaster and Kettle

· Dishtowel anddishcloth, washing pegs, Television, Money Box Safe

· Own littlegarden separated by plants with braai (bbq) facility, grid and gardenfurniture.

Our Apartment Units

3 Adjoining units, ground level, 1x1 bedroom unit and2x2  bedroomed units, own bathroom, openplan kitchen-dining-lounge area. Face brick walls inside and out, ceramic tiledfloors, carpeted bedrooms and extra high pine ceilings. One bedroom has anaircon and every other room an oscillating fan. The patio sliding door inlounge opens onto own garden area with braai (bbq) patch of grass and gardenfurniture separated by plants. Bathroom has bath, separate shower, basin andtoilet. Dining area has dining table and chairs, lounge have chairs and 2single beds. These are wheelchair accessible. Sleep max 4 or 6 persons perunit.

All Apartment units are equipped extra with:

· separatechest freezer, Coffee plunger/press

· Satellite Television( MNet, Movie 1-2, all sports channels, Sabc 1-2-3 and e-tv)

Apartment no. 1&2:

1 bedroom with double bed, other bedroom with 2 single beds, 2 single stack/bunkerbeds in lounge area. 6 Persons.

Apartment no. 3:

1bedroom with double bed, 2 single beds (used as couch as 1 bed slides in underthe other) in lounge area. 4 Persons.

Affordable Flatlets

These 2 units are part of the original house,converted into 3 units. Each unit has own entrance with 6 steps to the door,bathroom, kitchen, one bedroom and lounge area. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms andother oscillating fans.

Flatlet 4: 1 Bedroom with 4 single beds of which 2 arebunker. Bathroom with sunken bath, toilet and basin, separate shower. Smallkitchen and lounge.

Flat 5: 1 bedroom with 1 D/bed and 2 single bunkerbeds. Lounge dining kitchen area has 2 single stack beds, dining table andlounge chairs. Bathroom has shower, toilet and basin. Next to swimming pool andview of the lake.

Flats are equipped with:

· CombinationFridge ,Television (SABC and e-TV channels)

General Information

- Water:Borehole purified water although bottled water is recommended for sensitivesystems.

- Cholera: Nothreat in St Lucia.

- Climate:Sub-tropical, very humid summers, warm winters, all year rainfall peak insummer.

- Malaria: lowrisk area (non-drug measurements recommended). Season starts October,peaks  Feb/Mar, ends May. Drug relatedprecaution is your choice and responsibility.

- Permits:Ensure you have the necessary documents for activities that require permits onyour person. You are responsible to know sizes, bag limits and specificactivity areas.

- Swimming:Beaches are unprotected, no shark nets, no lifeguards, rip and side currents.

General Terms and Conditions

- We charge arefundable key & breakage fee of R100.00 per unit that will only berefunded after a unit has been checked. Should you depart early, we will mailor electronically refund the fee.

- Reservationwill automatically be cancelled if the deposit payment is not received by duedate.

- No personsother than those quoted for are permitted to share accommodation and facilities.Children are counted as part of persons per unit, no extra mattresses/beds.

- All units areNon-Smoking as required by law.

- No visitorsare allowed at your unit anytime of the day or over-night visitors.

- Operate the airconditionerunit as requested.

- The followingwill NOT be allowed on the premises:

o Plastic wheelbikes/trikes, skateboards, noisy toys, ketties, toy guns, any type of fireworksor crackers, Quad bikes or motorised toys.

o Loudness,unruly and drunken behaviour.

o Litter &cigarette butts in our garden or at the carport

o Any type ofpet.

Cancellation Policy

31 days and longer before arrival date   - full refund less R30.00 admin fee

16-30 days before arrival                           - 50% of deposit received

15 days and less before arrival                  - NO REFUND *

No Arrival / Early Departure / Arrive with Pets – NOREFUND

*(A Refund will be considered when the periodcancelled was filled again. The refund will be calculated pro-rata for days filled,less R30.00 admin fee. Payment will happen at the end of each month.)

Check – In/Arrivaltime: 13h00 – 18h00(please advise of later arrival as the reception close) NO ACCESS TO UNITBEFORE 1PM

Chech-Out/Departure time: 10h00 (extra day tariff will be chargedfor late departure)

Low/Out season: per personper night (minimum rate applicable).

High/In season: per unitper night (Inland/Coastal School Holidays and Long Weekends).

Minimum stay is 2 nights. Single person rates onrequest. Children u12 pay less out of season.
