It is all in the name: Serene-estate is pervaded with peace and serenity. The guesthouse is situated at the border of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (new name for St. Lucia Greater Wetland Park).

Amazing Architecture

Its architecture is a specific Dutch design based on Nouvelles Formes (bend lines) and new to South Africa. We have tried to achieve an optimal synthesis between modern architecture and African nature: a minimalistic approach with the warmth of African atmosphere. To emphasise the diversity we have used different colours in painting and special lighting effects.

Each room has its own coloured Zulu accent; luhlaza (green), bomvu (red), liphuzi (yellow) and zuluc wathile (blue).

Rooms

The 4 spacious and very luxurious guest rooms have via big windows a direct view onto the park and guests can enjoy the bushbuck, red duiker, monkey, mongoose, bush baby and a variety of birds and insects. After sunset sometimes hippos can be spotted and if you are lucky even a leopard.
