St. Lucia BiB's is comfortably nestled on the banks of The St. Lucia Estuary in St. Lucia Village. The Village is the southern most entrance to The Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park, South Africa's first World Heritage Site and the oldest permanently declared reserve in Africa. 

BiB's is much more than a backpackers. Beside the dorms, doubles and camping, BiB's also offers en-suite self-catering doubles, and four and five bed self-catering family units.

During your stay you can enjoy cooking in the big braai (BBQ) area, have a drink in the "open air under roof" bar and jump directly from here in a rock pool for a swim in the tropical garden setting.

BiB's is fully serviced till 10 pm daily - so you don't have to do any humdrum domestics, like doing the dishes.

 

 

BiB's is serviced till 10pm daily. We offer a fully equipped kitchen, TV lounge and dinning area. A free meal is provided on Wednesday nights and there is Zulu Dance on Saturday evenings. Breakfast is available on request.

We offer two, three, four and five bed dorms with easy access to the communal catering and ablution areas and the spacious TV lounge.

Park your vehicle in your own parking lot and enjoy our chalets with air-conditioning, DSTV, fully equipped kitchen, showers and toilet. Don't get to comfortable there is a lot to do outside.

Our spacious family units allow even family rules to apply home away from home with DSTV, kitchen, showers and toilet as well. Safe parking guaranteed.

BiB's is spread out over a 6000 m² property stretching in its length along the banks of St. Lucia Estuary. All the units are nicely spaced over this large area and visitors need not feel packed like sardines while visiting The Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park.

The commodious grounds of Bibs allow you to view wildlife such as bushbuck, red duiker and mongoose. By night you might hear the scream of the bush babies.

Swimming pool

After a day filled with new experiences and adventure, the rock pool next to the open-air bar is the perfect chill spot. Laze atop the sundeck for an enchanting sunset over St. Lucia Estuary.

"Open Air Under Roof" Bar

The bar is the place to seal a great African day. Is there a better way to meet fellow globetrotters and encounter new faces than over a drink or two, talking about adventures experienced and envy those who willed the adventure you passed over.

If you are into a game of pool, the bar is also the place.

Table Tennis

Even if you are no pro, ping-pong, still has its charms and can be a great icebreaker. What a great way to get to know some one.

TV Lounge

After all the experiences and adventures, you might just want to lean back and let the entertainment come by itself.

For those we have a comfortable lounge with satellite TV. M-Net, Movie Magic and sports channels are available.

We have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, with Microwave ovens, fridges, freezers and cutlery.

Internet Cafe

The café is open during our office hours. There are six PC `s, scanner and printing is available as well. The Cafe is running on a diginet connection.
